Official Ludo Rules
Objective, movement, captures, and winning — clearly explained.
🎯 Objective
Move all four tokens from your base to your home (center) before opponents do.
🎲 Setup & Turn Order
- 2–4 players can play. Each player gets 4 tokens of one color (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow).
- Players take turns clockwise, rolling one die per turn.
- To move a token out of base, you must roll a 6.
- Rolling a 6 gives an extra turn, but rolling three 6s in a row ends your turn.
➡️ Movement
- Tokens move clockwise along the board based on your dice roll.
- Roll a 6 to bring a new token into play or move an existing one.
- To enter the home area, you must roll the exact number needed.
✋ Capturing & Safe Squares
- If your token lands on an opponent’s token, their token goes back to base.
- Safe squares (marked with a star ⭐) protect tokens from capture.
- Starting squares and star-marked squares are considered safe zones.
🏁 Winning
- The first player to move all four tokens into the home center wins the game.
- Continue to determine 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places if desired.
